Excellence 2000 (E2K) Mathematics Programme
The E2K Mathematics Programme is an inquiry-based programme that aims to develop the childrens’ mathematical reasoning skills and deepen their conceptual understanding.
Selected Primary 4 children who demonstrate interest and ability in Mathematics will attend a 1.5h weekly lesson in Term 1 to Term 3 during curriculum time. Children will have opportunities to work independently or collaborate with their peers to engage in mathematical thinking through activities specially designed for this programme. This includes puzzles, games and mathematical exploration. The rich learning experiences offered by the programme serve to help children to:
- Develop the habits, attitudes and dispositions that Mathematicians possess.
- Develop important 21st century competencies such as critical thinking, inventive thinking and effective communication skills.
Bakhita Mathematics Classes
Our Mathematics curriculum aims to provide differentiated pathways and choices to support every child in order to maximise their potential. Bakhita Mathematics classes allows children with the interest and ability to develop their mathematical reasoning skills and deepen their understanding. Children will have opportunities to apply mathematical problem solving and reasoning skills by solving a variety of problems, including non-routine and open-ended problems.
